Rock + Classical = Neoclassical

This is a perfect example on how Classical and Rock styles combine. The convergence is called Neoclassical Rock and Yngwie Malmsteen (pronounced as eeng-vei) invented it. Yngwie's guitar playing style is like playing a violin Solo accompanied by an orchestra. But instead of a violin and an orchestra, he uses an electric guitar backed by a band. Below is an example from his first solo album, Rising Force and he composed this during the early 80's. I know it's kinda' "old school". But I really like it!
